Veref Passport
Verify once. Trusted everywhere.
Every candidate who verifies through Veref earns a portable, candidate-owned Passport. They skip re-verification at every other employer on the network, and control exactly who sees what, when.
Candidate-owned
A verified identity the candidate takes with them.
Incumbent checks are one-off and tied to the employer who paid for them. Veref Passport flips the model. The candidate owns the record, carries it across employers, and decides who can see it.
- One-time identity verification across every employer on Veref
- Revocable sharing per employer, any time, from a candidate dashboard
- Minimal public profile: verified name, credentials, interview history hashes
- Free for candidates and referees, always

Network effect
Trust that gets stronger with every interview.
Each verified interview and each verified reference gets linked back to the Passport. By the fourth employer, a Veref candidate arrives with a complete verified record and bypasses most of the screening stack.
- Interview session hashes travel with the Passport
- Verified references link back to the candidate record
- Employers inherit the network's verification work
- Candidates save hours on repeated screening

The rules of the Passport
The candidate is always in the driver's seat.
We designed the Passport as something candidates want, not something they endure. That is non-negotiable and it is what makes the network work.
Candidate-owned by default
The Passport lives in the candidate's Veref account, not an employer's CRM. Employers get access, not ownership.
Consent for every share
Sharing is per-employer, per-role, and expires. Revoke at any time and the receiving team loses access.
Full export and deletion
Candidates can export their entire Passport record or delete it permanently, on request, at any time.
What does an employer actually see?
The Passport shows verified facts, not raw data. Employers see that the identity was verified, how recently, and by which checks. They never see biometric templates, raw ID images, or other candidates' records. Audit logs capture every access event for compliance.
